Bookish New Year’s Challenge: Day One

Happy New Year!!!

I am kicking off the new year with the Bookish New Year’s challenge. This fifteen-day challenge is hosted by Tabatha at Broken Soul Reviews. The challenge is open to any book bloggers who want to participate.

The prompt for day one is 2020 book blogging goals.

I started this blog in early 2019, and only really started posted regularly in autumn. I have learned so much in the process of creating this blog, and I continue to learn new things every week. I still have so much to learn, so I am very much looking forward to my book blogging activities over the coming year. That being said, here are my main goals for the coming year:

  1. Post two book reviews a week
  2. Participate in more book blogging challenges
  3. Blog hop and interact with more book bloggers
  4. Read 150 books
  5. Only read books that I actually want to read
  6. Take part in a read-a-thon
  7. Be more active on Twitter and Instagram
  8. Reach 500 followers by the end of the year (perhaps my most ambitious goal)

Do you have goals for the upcoming year? I would love to hear them in the comments below!

xx Claudia

Wooooo you set that book reading goal high! I have mine set at 50 for right now, but if I meet that, I will change it! I just didn’t know how much I would get done with being in EMT/Paramedic school, working, the demon children, wife duties and so forth hahaha. I am working on the blog hopping as well! I always read post and then talk to the person on Twitter about it, but I always forgetting that comments are important on the post as well, so I want to get better with that!

You have some great goals! You are going to rock this 2020 blogging thing!

    • I have a feeling I will be lowering my goal at some point – I have a tendency to set crazy expectations and then be a bit more realistic later on. Thankfully I have a flexible job at the moment so I can read a lot right now.

Lowering is okay! I think I will have to adjust mine as well. Life is a mess sometimes and as much as we want to accomplish something, adjusting is always needed! I would rather adjust, than kill myself trying to achieve.
