WWW Wednesday – 27 November

Welcome to my first WWW Wednesday! I’m making an effort to expand beyond book reviews to include more blog-style posts on a weekly basis, so here goes.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Anyone can take part, even those without a blog. All you have to do is answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post on Sam’s post for the day. If you don’t have a blog you can respond here or head over to Sam’s post (click the photo for the link) and respond to her post.

The the questions are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading The Child on Platform One by Gill Thompson. I was kindly given a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for a review, so you can expect to see my full review in the next few days. I started it last night, so I am only about fifty pages in so far. This book seems great so far, but I can also already tell that this is going to be a heart-breaking book.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. It is honestly one of the best books I have ever read – I know that I will be recommending this book to people for some time. I actually posted my full review of this book yesterday; you can find it here.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I already know what my next ten or so reads will be, because I am obsessed with organisation have a spreadsheet. Perhaps I will do a whole other post about this actually… Anyways, next up is Holly Banks Full of Angst by Julie Valerie. I have been reading quite heavy books lately, so it will be nice to read something a bit more light-hearted. I just hope that I am not too critical of it after the genius that was Girl, Woman, Other.

Have you read any of these books? I’d love to know your thoughts, and can’t wait to see what you all are reading as well.

xx Claudia

These are all new to me. I love some historical fiction and I hope you enjoy that. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

  2. I’m afraid I haven’t read any of these books, but The Child on Platform One does sound like it would be gripping, if rather heart breaking! Happy reading! Here’s my WWW post for this week: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2019/11/27/www-wednesday-27th-november-2019/ 🙂
